Fresh Start!

As many of you know, I ran out of memory space on my other blog site. Boo to webs.com! Haha :) So I'm giving it another go here at blogger.com, and we'll see if it works!

So much has happened in between my last blog and now, that I'm not going to try to force it all back to memory... I'll keep writing as I remember, but right now all I want to talk about is an exciting new opportunity that my host dad has given me! One afternoon, he asked me when Kristina was planning on flying home, to see if we could organize a way to fly back together. I informed him that Kristina has agreed to staying at least one more year, and he asked me how that was possible with her aupair visa. I told him that she is on a student visa, and can continue to prolong it as long as she is still enrolled in college classes. A couple of evenings later, he offered to help me go through the application and enrollment process here at Göttingen University. After 3 years, I'd have a bachelor's degree as well as wonderful life experience. This was sort of my plan from the beginning, but he had never thought about it until now. So hopefully we will be able to work something out... Right now, I'm trying to figure out if the entire family would like me to stay. I've also created a time line with the application deadlines... I have to be enrolled before July 15th for the start of the winter semester. Plenty of time, but we all know how quickly that goes by! In two weeks I'll be celebrating my 8 month anniversary here and, besides the improvement in my Germany, it seems like it has only been 1 or 2!!

I hope everyone is still doing well, and I apologize for the huge gap in updates! For the next couple of days, I'll be uploading my old blog entries and hopefully some of the pictures that I've taken while out here... Welcome to my new blog!! :)
